Welcome to LocalFilePress! We provide high-performance, easy-to-use document conversion and optimization tools designed specifically for the modern web. Our mission is to make document handling secure, private, and 100% free of charge.

Why "Local" File Press?

Almost every file converter site on the internet works by uploading your private files (resumes, passport photos, bank statements) to a cloud server. Once uploaded, you have no control over how long your files are kept, who has access to them, or whether they are logged.

LocalFilePress is built differently. We utilize cutting-edge client-side browser capabilities like WebAssembly and specialized JavaScript libraries. When you drag and drop a file onto our website, it remains on your device. The calculations are done directly inside your web browser’s memory sandbox, converting or compressing your documents locally. Your data is never uploaded to a server and is completely invisible to the cloud.

Our Core Technologies

• HTML5 Canvas API: Powering our Image Resizer and Cropper with native, GPU-accelerated graphics interpolation.
• PDF.js (Mozilla): Allowing us to render and extract individual pages from PDF documents locally.
• jsPDF: Enabling programmatic, client-side PDF document generation from image sets.
• JSZip: Allowing real-time compression and archiving of multiple files without server-side zip scripts.

How We Stay Free

LocalFilePress is built as an open utility suite. Since we do not host backend processing servers, our hosting costs are extremely low. We support this project through:

• Minimal, non-intrusive advertisements served by the Google AdSense network.
